Wakako Sekimoto
Wakako graduated from Kyoto Textile college with a diploma in dyeing and weaving. For several years she worked as a kimono designer in Japan. In 1997, she immigrated to Canada and worked alongside a well established Ceramic artist. She ventured on her own in the year 2005.
"My work is inspired by patterns., texture and colours of nature. My artwork is uniquely identified through my line work and rich use of colour". Each piece is individually raised by line work and hand painted. Every piece will be original.”
