The Artists

Raymond Chiu
Raymond Chiu’s enthusiasm for travel and for life in general is expressed through his clean brushstrokes. Every stroke of his brush underpins the freshness and the boldness that characterize his artwork.
By nature, Ray is drawn toward capturing athletic endeavours in his art. But Ray’s work is not limited to this pursuit. It also encompasses images from his extensive travels and evokes his passion for the world around us. Occasionally, Ray ventures into abstract illustrations as well. His experiences as an amateur photographer have helped him to develop a keen eye and sense of detail, and he employs those attributes in collecting reference material for and in producing his vivid paintings.
Ray is a graphic and visual design graduate of Kwantlen University College, in British Columbia, Canada. To complement his education, Ray worked as a designer with various advertising agencies before establishing his own graphic design and illustration business in Vancouver, BC, in 1987.
Operating his graphics company has taken up most of Ray’s energies for the past 23 years. But he nevertheless continued to paint and is today a successful emerging artist.
