The Artists

Jing Jia
Jing Jia was born and raised in Beijing. She studied at the Tsinghua University, in the program of graphic design. Jing has passion in both design and fine art. She had shown art in China before immigrating to Canada. She paints in two distinct styles. One style is very impressionistic and is done in the manner of the French impressionists. With this style Jing paints Canadian scenes and experiences giving her a way to show her emotions and her love of nature. Her second style is more reminiscent of her homeland, which gives her connection to her beginnings and lets her paint her motherland and familiar things. Jing Has showed her work at numbers of galleries in Canada, the Grand Gallery (Kelowna), Alternate Gallery (Vernon), Lloyd Gallery (Penticton), Hambleton gallery (Kelowna) and Federation Gallery (Vancouver).
