Jessie Childe
Jessie is a retiree from Hong Kong, and for more than a decade in Burnaby and Vancouver, she has been dabbling in Lingnam Style Chinese brush painting under the tuition of renowned Chinese master artist: Hsing Wan-ling. She also explored various painting techniques at the Visual Arts program at the School of Contemporary Arts, Simon Fraser University and graduated in 2005. She is one of the founding co-op. artists at Aurora Gallery at International Village, in Vancouver.
Her favourite themes are floral, fruits, birds, carps and landscapes, although she also experiments with acrylics and graphite honing her skills for figures, portraits, still life, floral and her imagination in abstracts. The paintings at Aurora Gallery are samples from her paintings.
