Call for Entry: "Around the World in Eighty Ways"

Terms and Conditions:

The Aurora Gallery, Artists' Co-op, is calling for all visual artists to submit artworks with the theme "Around the World in Eighty Ways" to be shown in its Tinsel Town location during the two months of April and May, 2006. All media except photography are welcome. Work should not be larger than 5 ft. Entry must be received by March 25.

Entries can be made by electronic entry or by original artwork.
 
Entry fee: $5.00 per entry for non-members. A maximum of 6 entries per artist. There is an additional fee of $5.00 per selected artwork to share the cost for the two months' showing in the Gallery.

Electronic entry: E-mail your artworks' JPEG images as attachments (recommended 400 pixels ) to info@coopgallery.com before March 25, 2006. Images are to be labeled with titles of paintings. Send cheque and entry form by mail to:

Original artwork entry: Deliver to the Aurora Gallery, Suite 2035, second floor, Tinsel Town/International Village, 88 West Pender Street, Vancouver, on Saturday, March 25 between 1 pm to 5 pm. See this page on how to get to the gallery. The best entrance is from Keefer and Abbott. Declined artwork can be picked up March 25, 5 to 6 pm, or March 26, between 1 to 5 pm.

Selected artwork will be on display in the Gallery for the months of April and May, 2006. All entries must be available for sale and must not infringe on any copyright. Commission for non-members is 35%. Unsold paintings are to be picked up on Wed, May 31, between 1 pm to 5:30 pm.

The Gallery will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss or damage to your art piece, however it will be the artist's responsibility to insure the art piece against loss or damage while on exhibit or in storage.

Entry form and payment must be received before March 25, 2006.

Electronic Entry:
You will be notified by e-mail as soon as possible on or before March 25. Accepted artwork to be send by mail to the Burnaby address above or hand deliver to the Tinsel Town Gallery in Vancouver on Wednesday, March 29 between 1 pm to 5 pm.  An additional fee of $5.00 per accepted entry is required for the two months showing in the gallery. The artist is responsible for all shipping cost.

Original Artwork Entry:
Mail or fax entry form before March 25, 2006. Deliver artwork to the Tinsel Town Aurora Gallery on Saturday March 25, 2006, between 1 pm to 5 pm. Declined work are to be picked up between 5 to 6 pm on March 25 or between 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, March 26.
